“Herod, when he realized that the scholars had tricked him, flew into a rage. He commanded the murder of every little boy two years old and under who lived in Bethlehem and its surrounding hills. (He determined that age from information he’d gotten from the scholars.) – Matthew 2:16 – The Message

WOW! You know, we don’t really think about the consequences too often, but when we are trying to snuff out the presence of God in our lives a whole lot of innocent people get hurt – and even spiritually killed.

Our lives affect so many others. People, some who we never even dreamed of, are watching our lives and looking to us as a pattern. When we begin to “flee” the presence of God they are often the ones who are hurt and are left dazed and confused.

Beloved, don’t be guilty of “killing someone spiritually”. When you come against spiritual leaders in anger, when you run from your place of worship out of anger (there are times when you will have to leave), when you decide to wash your hands of church completely, there are others in your life who are suffering…………….and who knows………….because of your “murderous” hands they may never be revived to walk in the fullness of what God had for their lives.
