“Then, being divinely warned in a dream that they should not return to Herod, they departed for their own country another way.” – Matthew 2:12 – NKJ

As we read last time, Herod thought his religious front had everyone fooled. And well, I guess it did. The wise men really thought that he was wanting to worship the Christ Child just as they were.

Well, Herod may have fooled everyone around him but he didn’t fool God. God knew his true intentions concerning the Christ Child (the presence of God in his life) – God knew his heart. (see Acts 15:8)

Friends, if you aren’t really serious about your relationship with Jesus don’t think for one minute that you have God fooled by your religious front. You may have duped everyone else into believing you are on fire for God and are a person of reputable stature; however, God sees and know what’s really on the inside. You aren’t fooling Him…..and sooner or later he will warn others about you just like He warned the wise men about Herod. Could it possibly be time for a change? Is it time to really want to worship the Christ? If so, stop pretending and start worshipping. It’s never too late to birth passion for the Savior!
